Welcome to Day 3!
We are moving right along here.
Just to recap:
Day 1: We went through a summary of this 5 day course and signed up for the Wealthy Affiliate Online Business Community.
Day 2: We went over what affiliate marketing is, how to choose a niche, and how to build your website around that niche.
Here in Day 3 I want to go over scams and making money online. The terms, ‘make money online’, and ‘make money from home’, have become synonymous with scams.
In fact, when I first started out trying to make money online, my family and friends thought I was wasting my time and getting involved in some online scam.
The problem with scams is that they all claim to offer you quick, easy money, with minimal effort involved. The reality is that making real money online isn’t always quick, and it requires real effort to be successful.
Don’t run away yet!
I know, the thought of making money online while sitting around doing nothing all day sounds great, but the reality is NOBODY makes money online by doing nothing.
You will have to put some real work into your websites if you want them to generate income for you.
Even though you have to work for your success, there is still these great perks to owning your own online business:
- You are your own boss
- Work when you want to
- Vacation when you want to
- The harder you work, the more money you can make
- Passive income. Make money when you aren’t even working.
When I started out, I was still working a full time job that I hated. One of my biggest motivations for building my business was being able to quit that job. When I eventually built my online business up enough to support me and my family it was like a weight was lifted from my shoulders knowing that I would never have to step foot in that full time job again.
How soon will you see success?
I can’t give you an exact answer to this question because success comes differently for everyone. Some people see sales within a month, others don’t see a sale for 3 months. It just depends on how much time and effort you put into your business. Check out a blog post I wrote inside Wealthy Affiliate about how I made my first sale in 3 weeks.
3 weeks is not the norm to start earning income through your websites, but it happened to me and I had no prior experience. I just followed the training inside Wealthy Affiliate.
The Steps to success – The fastest way possible
- Take action! Don’t just sit there and read about making money online, take action!
- Ask questions. One of the great things about the Wealthy Affiliate community is that you can ask any question that you are confused about, and you will get responses from experienced members who have been in your situation before. Remember, the only dumb question, is the one left unasked.
- Believe that you can be successful. This might sound cliche, but its important to believe that you will be successful. When it comes to affiliate marketing, the only people that fail, are the ones that quit. Success will come to you if you continually work towards it!
Never quit! You never know when success is right around the corner!
One last thing. While we are on the topic of scams, I want to address any concerns or doubts you have regarding Wealthy Affiliate.
I know there are many of you out there that have been the victim of scam programs that left you $X poorer and them thousands of dollars richer. I have been there before too, so I know it is a crappy feeling.
I know that there is a chance that you might not have created you free Wealthy Affiliate membership on Day 1 for fear of getting scammed.
I just want you to know that membership is totally FREE. You do not have to pay any money to get access to your FREE websites, the training videos, the live chat, or to ask questions. No personal information is needed either. Its just like signing up to Facebook, or Twitter. Just your name and a email address is needed.
Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam. Wealthy Affiliate is a training center and community that help you build and successfully run a online business. It was the reason I was able to find success online and thats why I reference Wealthy Affiliates tools and training inside this 5 Day mini course.
Here are your tasks for Day 3:
Task 1: Inside Wealthy Affiliate I want you to complete lesson 1 in the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course. Lesson 1 will give you a brief introduction to the website and ask you to fill out your profile if you haven’t already done so. If you have time check out lesson 2 as well. It will go over a few things that we have discussed in Day 2, and it will ask you to make some personal goals.
Task 2: Read a few blog posts inside WA. I already linked to one of my blog posts earlier, but check out what some of the other members are saying about their online business’s. Also read some of the success stories. I like to read the success of other members when I need a little extra motivation to build my own websites.
Task 3: Ask a question in chat! The question can be anything. Or you can just say hi, and see what the other members are discussing. Feel free to join into any discussion. The other members are friendly and very helpful.
