What do you think about online survey sites? Today more and more people are interested in paid survey sites as a source of extra income without doing proper research on the survey companies.
They eventually spend so much time and effort completing surveys without getting anything reasonable in return.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of taking online surveys and most of the time; it can be incredibly hard to find a site that’s both reliable and user-friendly. CashBack Research is one of the many survey sites available on the web which I found to be a total waste of time. Well, that’s just my opinion. I’m going to cover everything you need to know in this CashBack Research review so you can decide if it’s right for you!
What Is CashBack Research? 
For starters, CashBack is run by Michael and Tamara Hetzer of Myrtle Beach South Carolina. This survey site has been around since 2007, and it boasts of up to 1.5 million sign-ups.
CashBack Research is primarily a survey site; however, the surveys are provided by other providers. In essence, CashBack will send you to other sites so you can take part in surveys.
Let’s face it; Cashback Research is not a research company; It’s actually a marketing company. While it may seem like a survey membership site where users are paid to take part in surveys, they’re actually selling your information and earning commissions when you purchase products.
Call me a buzzkill, but that’s pretty much what the site is all about.
Does CashBack Research Work?
For starters, CashBack Research pays about twenty-five cents per survey on average. The bad news is that it may take up to twenty minutes to complete a survey and when you’re done you may be told you’re not qualified to take the said survey and will not be paid. In essence, you end up wasting your precious time for nothing!
Also, you may only be able to participate in a few surveys a day or none at all.
For the most part, you must earn a minimum of $30 before getting paid. The most annoying part is the thirty days processing time; meaning that you have to wait for a whole month to receive $30? It doesn’t even make sense!
You should also know that CashBack Research is compensated for your information at a rate much higher than they’re paying you. This implies that while you “might” make a quarter for taking surveys and giving up your private information, CashBack Research will make several dollars!
So What is CashBack Research Really Doing?
This is a no-brainer. This survey company is only buying your information at wholesale and selling it to other companies at retail. To make matters worse, CashBack Research has a reputation for not paying at all. In other words, you might not get paid for taking the surveys.
There are also a few cash offers you can do; this is primarily when you do some task for another company (such as signing up to their site or a free trial), and they’ll pay you a small sum. The bad news is that signing up to free offers can bring a lot of SPAM – this could be by phone, email or even text. I mean, it’s typical with online survey sites, after finishing the surveys, you’ll begin to drown in floods of spam in your inbox.
CashBack Research draws people in with promises to pay for each survey they complete. In reality, you’ll probably make a dollar after spending hours taking the surveys. Trust me; your time is worth more than that. Moreover, you are giving away your precious privacy. Why would you trade your privacy for crap? You’re worth more than that!
What Are Others Saying Around The Web?
There are a lot of people around the internet who have a lot of bad things to say about this survey website. To be honest, I’ve found only negative reviews about this site; except on their Facebook page, and the positive comments look very shady and unnatural.
Many people write it off as a scam and fraud. Some say it’s impossible to qualify for surveys and the minimum withdrawal amount is unattainable.
I’ve come across several reviews of users complaining of never getting a dollar even when they had the minimum amount to withdraw.
As I mentioned earlier, CashBack Research boasts over 1.5 million active users. I, however, find that very hard to believe because the number of reviews I found online doesn’t reflect a member base of over 1.5 million users.
How the CashBack Research Scam Works
For starters, CashBack Research is not a place to make money. It’s a mechanism for extracting personal data and selling that information to companies who will then use it for marketing. Moreover, in the process of completing surveys you’ll be encouraged to buy things, and when you agree to spend your hard earned cash, CashBack Research gets a commission.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s hard to make money when you’re actually spending money.
The worst part of the scam is that before you can successfully take a survey, you must be evaluated. This implies that you have to go through a lot of crap before you’re permitted to take the survey. It’s pretty obvious that doing this would take time and you will not be paid for it. That’s just terrible and downright frustrating!
Final Words
With all that has been said it’s pretty clear that CashBack Research is a joke. However, if you still want to give it a shot, I recommend you create a special email for just for that because the account will be spammed mercilessly.
Overall, CashBack Research is just a waste of time. You might end up making a few dollars, that’s if they pay you. Giving away your privacy and opening your email to spammers? Trust me; it’s not worth it.
