Did you ever hear of the term affiliate marketing? Well if no, affiliate marketing is the process of promoting other peoples products or services, and earning a commission if a sale is made through your website.
Thousands of companies offer affiliate programs, meaning they will pay you commission for helping them sell their stuff. Here is just a small list of companies that offer affiliate programs:
- Amazon
- Apple
- Target
- Walmart
- Clickbank
- Google… The list goes on…
Once you decide on a affiliate program, you need to choose a product or service that you would like to promote on your website. In the affiliate marketing circle, this is referred to as choosing your niche. Your niche can be whatever you want it to be. Here is a few examples of niches that you could build your website around:

- Memory foam pillows
- Desk lamps
- Gardening equipment
- Fitness products

Step 3: Create content for your website
Okay, once you have your website established and you have chosen your niche, its time to start creating content on your website. Content on your website can be in the form of product reviews, comparison reviews, and even information on products pertaining to your niche.
So for example you chose to become an affiliate for Amazon, and your niche is computer chairs. Your website should be geared around creating content that is going to inform, and educate visitors on which computer chairs you think are good and which ones you think are bad. Helping your visitor make a decision on which computer chair to purchase.
